Photography

I've been obsessed with photography since childhood, when my parents bought me my first LeClic camera (it was purple and pink, so  you know it was super legit.) Today, having an iPhone allows me to capture even more of life's little moments, which I will endlessly tinker with in Snapseed.

Writing

Creative writing has always been an integral part of my life.  Starting in first grade when I wrote my own "novels" (illustrated by my brother, a talented artist) all the way through to college when my poetry was published in the campus literary journal.  More recently, I've written narration for documentaries and TV shows, as well as essays and articles for various websites and publications.

I wrote an essay about being a single thirtysomething for the LA Times' "LA Affairs" column, which was printed on March 11, 2017.  Hooray for writing super personal stuff and then letting millions of strangers judge you for it!  Just kidding.  Not sure it was quite "millions."

I've been to over forty weddings since the mid 2000s.  Does this make me an expert on all things wedding guest related?  Probably not. But I do know a thing or two about a thing or two.  This is an article I wrote about the Dos and Donts of throwing bachelorette parties, some of which I learned the hard way.

I love travel and I love writing, so how could I not be into travel writing?  Turns out I am into it.

I'm a native Nutmegger, which means I was born and raised in the great state of Connecticut.  If you aren't from CT, you probably don't know much about it, other than what you learned from Gilmore Girls and driving through on I-95 while you complain about road construction and traffic.  When UConn became the unlikely winners of the NCAA tourney in 2014, I just had to write about it, including my feelings on my diminutive and oft-overlooked home state.
